That’s a wrap on Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week Spring 2025. From January 27-30, the schedule the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode inflicted upon was one for the books (regardless of the notable absence of Iris Van Herpsn, Maison Margiela, and Fendi). Daniel Roseberry at Schiaparelli was the visionary who kicked couture week into excessive gear (and excessive type) earlier this week. Roseberry’s surrealist-inspired assortment boasted daring silhouettes and complex ornate detailing as a love letter to the artwork of high fashion. Maria Grazia Chiuri mirrored again on collections from the Nineteen Fifties at Christian Dior whereas Giorgio Armani made a splash commemorating the twentieth anniversary of Armani Privé. Elsewhere throughout the Metropolis of Gentle, Alessandro Michele made his highly-anticipated couture debut as Valentino inventive director and we witnessed Ludovic de Saint Sernin as visitor designer for Jean Paul Gaultier.
