The 2024 Venice Film Festival stays in full swing, and it’s day eight of the the esteemed Venetian occasion. Make no mistake that since day one (for the premiere of Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice Beetlejuice), there’s been zero scarcity of show-stopping purple carpet moments. From undisputed type icon Taylor Russell kick-starting the festivities in Loewe and Hollywood icon Angelina Jolie (channeling main old-Hollywood glamour) to Emily Ratajkowski unearthing a classic Tom Ford for Gucci gown to Rachel Weisz dialing up the type stakes in a strapless midnight blue Atelier Versace quantity turning up for day two – this 12 months’s Venice Movie Competition has really been the present that retains on giving.
Tonight, for the long-awaited displaying of Todd Phillips’ Joker: Folie à Deux, the glamour and drama on the purple carpet was amped up tenfold. Returning to the Venice Movie Competition was singer-turned-actor Woman Gaga, who confirmed up and confirmed out sporting a voluminous black Christian Dior Haute Couture robe, teamed with an excellent larger theatrical Philip Treacy headpiece (and Tifffany & Co. jewellery).
